Fibonacci Merge Rules
In Fibonacci Mode, only tiles that are consecutive Fibonacci numbers can merge. For example: 8 + 13 = 21, and 13 + 21 = 34. This means you cannot simply merge two identical tiles as in standard 2048 — you must position tiles in sequence, not in pairs. This requires a completely different spatial approach to chain-building.
Strategy
Build Fibonacci sequences along your board edges rather than identical pairs. Your chain in Fibonacci Mode will look like: 89 → 55 → 34 → 21 → 13 → 8 → 5 → 3 → 2 → 1 → 1. When two 1-tiles merge into a 2, and that 2 merges with the next 2 in sequence, a cascade begins. Plan for these cascades and position tiles so they can chain-react automatically.
